Our Philosophy
Our philosophy - "The golf swing has to become a feel, rather than a series of complicated thoughts and movements. I don't teach a strict one swing fits all methodolgy nor can we teach every student the same way. Instead we focus more intently on a students natural biomechanics / movement and build each persons swing around that, ensuring they stay within certain peramiters. In short, once a student recognizes what their swing should feel like, that is when consistancy is achieved.
"How Deliver Our Message
We deliver our messages four ways:
- Verbal – we break down messages into easy to understand instruction
- Visual – we use video technology to break down the swing and locate flaws and areas of improvement
- Kinesthetic – we demonstrate the proper feel by helping to place you into the correct position
- Drills – we use drills to focus on certain aspects of the swing we are working to change
The Path to Improvement
The 5280 Golf Instruction system we use in our schools really boils down to a pretty simple four-step plan developed for getting better. Every instructor goes through this simple process with every student as we make necessary changes.
- Have a clear understanding of what you are trying to accomplish. Establish individual student objectives and promote self discovery.
- Assess where you are. The student and the instructor need an honest and accurate “snapshot” of your current situation.
- Establish a Plan. Make sure everyone understands exactly what needs to be done to meet individual goals and objectives.
- Implement the necessary changes. This is where the talent and training of the instructor make a big difference.
